GN Separation Delivers GNLW-654 Sludge Dewatering Centrifuge to Europe

We are pleased to announce that GN Separation has shipped a GNLW-654 T-Series Dewatering Decanter Centrifuge to our European client. This high-performing machine will significantly enhance sludge dewatering operations, delivering higher dryness, efficiency, and reliability under demanding industrial conditions.

Introducing the GNLW-654 Dewatering Decanter Centrifuge

The GNLW-654 is part of GN’s T-Series dewatering decanter centrifuges, built with a beach angle of 8.5 degrees. This design increases the length of the cone (beach) section, allowing more extended dewatering area and resulting in drier solid discharge.

Here are some of its key features and specifications:

Why the GNLW-654 is Ideal for Sludge Dewatering

This model is designedfor heavy-duty dewatering and thickening tasks. Among its advantages:

  • Enhanced Dryness of Solids: The extended beach area and optimized internal geometry lead to better solids discharge dryness.

  • Efficient Handling of Large & Dense Solids: It can process materials with large particle size, high density difference between solid and liquid, and high concentration.

  • Durability & Materials: Key parts like the bowl and shaft caps are made from duplex stainless steel (e.g. SUS2205 or SUS2304) via centrifugal casting, improving corrosion resistance and avoiding issues common with welded structures.

  • Wear-resistance: Solid discharge ports have hard tungsten carbide wear sleeves; screw blades are formed via CNC pressing for higher conveying efficiency and longer lifespan.

  • Operational Flexibility & Monitoring: The machine is equipped with an advanced control panel (VFD, PLC, HMI), real-time monitoring of parameters like vibration, bearing temperature, motor current, etc., plus automatic alarm/protection systems.

Application & Benefits for the European Client

For our European partner, the GNLW-654 will be used to process sludge from municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. Key benefits include:

  • Reduced disposal costs, thanks to much drier solids which are lighter and less bulky.

  • Improved throughput, due to higher processing capacity and better separation of solids & liquids.

  • Lower energy usage, as optimized design minimizes turbulence and mechanical losses.

  • Reduced maintenance downtime, thanks to wear-resistant parts and ease of component removal (e.g. hydraulic disassembly of main bearing).

Final Thoughts

The shipping of the GNLW-654 decanter centrifuge is another example of GN Separation’s commitment to delivering high-quality separation solutions that meet strict performance, durability, and efficiency requirements. We look forward to seeing the machine installed and delivering results for our client in Europe.
